I don’t know about you but I’m a little obsessed with children’s clothes. My little girl has an exceptionally better collection than I. It enthuses me to know what’s out there and to also discover the best bargains. Finding new places to shop is just the tip of the iceberg! So today I bring you the best kids clothing bargains and more!
Giving you what you want!
I recently ran a poll on Instagram asking readers if they’d like to read about any children’s purchases I make. This would include clothing, toys, essentials, you name it. Coming back to me was a large resounding YES! So that’s exactly what I’m going to do. You may have noticed a recent change to my navigation here on the blog, that was to make room for a new category – shopping. This is where you’ll be able to find not only children’s purchases and hauls, but also future gift inspiration posts!
The Best Kids Clothing Bargains and More!
In my recent post all about my daughter’s first trip to the seaside I mentioned that I’d bought a few bits and bobs. In this post I’ll be posting everything (children’s) that I bought. Enjoy!
Pep & Co (Poundland, Scarborough)
Miniature SPF 50 Suncream
At £1 this was a necessary must. I did have some sun cream already with me but I’m pretty sure that lotions have a use by date on. Not taking the chance, I grabbed this. I like that it’s in such a small bottle because realistically I never use up everything in a big bottle. This is also so much easier to fit into smaller bags and is great for on the go! There was a variety of factors available.
This is water resistant, UVA and UVB and SPF 50. This product is also cruelty free and vegan.
Pink Jelly Shoes
I got these in a size 4 and 5 so that we’d have a pair to take Autumn through the summer too. Costing only £2.50 each that wasn’t a bad deal at all! These give me flashbacks to my own childhood and just scream seaside and summer. Autumn loves them a LOT more than I thought she would, even when she’s not wearing them she wants to play with them!
Teddy Sun Hat
This wouldn’t have been my first choice given a larger selection, honestly I’m not overly keen on the design. My daughter on the other hand thinks it’s brilliant. This hat however does the trick perfectly for summer and beach wear. Can’t complain at only £2.
Tutu Style Heart Dress
Not very summer, but costing only £2.50 this was an absolute bargain! My daughter adores her floaty skirts, dresses and tutus so it was a must have. The heart print is so cute and though the material is a little thicker it’s still cool enough for the spring and cooler summer days.
Plain Grey Leggings
There’s not much that can be said for leggings. They’re a plain, light grey and always come in handy! These cost £1.50 which I don’t think is bad at all!
Ice Cream Top
How adorable is this? It says “cutest little ice cream” on it, it’s cool and loose fitting, perfect for the summer. The design is as you can see, two ice creams with sweet little pom poms! I love it, I think it’s so fun and was only £2.50.
Pom Pom Shorts
Another adorable purchase. I love that these too have little pom poms on, whilst not being bought as a set I feel they go perfectly with the ice cream top. The colours are spot on and the pom poms are almost identical. These shorts were a total steal at only £2.
The most expensive of the Pep & Co purchases, yet still ridiculously affordable. Can you believe this denim jacket only cost me £6? No, neither can I. Autumn of course already owns a denim jacket but as she’d been sick all over hers I wanted to buy a new one to wear that day. This has button fastening and I got it in a larger size so that she’s able to grow into it. The 2-3 is a little large for her as she’s not yet 2, though it’s not absolutely ridiculous on her. If you’re on the lookout for a denim jacket I’d definitely consider this as others around can be much more expensive!
3 Piece Set
Such a gorgeous little outfit, this is the one I bought to dress Autumn in right away. It’s a three piece consisting of leggings, top and headband. I love how colourful and fun the leggings are, so perfect for summer. Likewise the yellow top is so eye catching. The headband? Well I don’t know about you but I adore little matchy headbands. I only wish Autumn would tolerate them for a little longer than she does. This whole set was priced at £5 which is an absolute bargain!
Seafront Beach Hut (if there was an official name, I don’t know it).
Bucket and Spade Set
If you read my recent beach post then you may remember me being a little miffed that I found this same set in a larger variety of colours, cheaper at TJ’s. I digress, I bought this set at the little beach hut for £4.99. Included are a bucket, sieve lid, spade, rake and two castle moulds. A great little set for kids and my daughter loves it… It can be bought at TJ’s Bazaar for £2.99, however.
TY Beanie Boos
Autumn has quite the collection of these and I’m in the habit of buying her a new one whenever we go on some form of day out anywhere. This time it was the Gorilla and the Mouse I picked up.. I gave her the choice and she wanted the Gorilla, so the Mouse has been put away for her birthday. These were £4.99 each, the standard price.
I’m utterly obsessed with my recent purchases and there’s more where these came from. Which are your favourites? Is it just me or is everything much more exciting for children?
